ACTIVITY REWARDS
AC REWARDS
Since Kenos is a plot-heavy game based on engaging with other characters and the setting, we want to reward people that go above and beyond! Kenos does this through a Token system, which is a set of OOC rewards that translate to IC rewards. Using Tokens, you can make augment your character’s powers (or make completely new ones), get plot clues, or buy an exotic pet, to name a few things!
Tokens can be used to purchase items from the list below. If you have an idea for something you might like to use tokens on that isn’t listed or aren't sure how many tokens your idea would cost, feel free to ask! Mods may adjust the Token cost for some requests, since below are guidelines, and specific requests may fall into a different Token cost depending on the capabilities of the request.
Note, the Power Cap applies to all purchased items and powers, so they may require adjustment to fit underneath these limitations!
Finally, this system also includes a Powerlevel Discount. As a part of your application acceptance, you were assigned a Level based on the powers you described in your application. This Level entitles you to a discount of the prices above, which is as follows:
This discount is to help address power creep and try and make the stakes of the game more even. This way characters who come into the game well-equipped from their canon don’t dominate others, which results in better tension and stakes! With that in mind, mods may reduce or take away a character’s discount as they become more evenly matched with higher Levels, which you will be informed of.
In addition, this page is also used to share and submit your Notable Actions! Notable Actions sounds fancy, but it’s essentially a summary of what your character did during the month! This helps the Loremaster team by giving a good view of what characters are up to and interested in so that we can help the world be responsive to character actions. This summary can be a bulleted list or prose, and we would love it if it also included links, but it doesn’t have to. For an example of what we’re looking for, see this comment which shows the general format and what you can expect from rewards and/or this comment, which is a character played by one of the Loremasters!
Notable actions should include things that have been threaded out this month, but can also include hand-waved interactions about interacting with the world of Kenos at large, and we in fact recommend this! Is your character a regular at a bar? Did they start modeling for a clothing shop they like? Or maybe they're often seen at one of the city's libraries this month because they're deeply researching a new topic. Let us know, since this helps us get a sense of what your character's interests in the world are and can help us create more customized hooks for your character in turn!
IC, characters are asked to at least check in with their faction’s second-in-command once a month, since they’re similarly interested in what characters are getting up to. This check-in is at the character’s leisure and meant to be casual IC as well! Depending on what characters tell their respective NPC, they may get special information or missions that are relevant to what they’ve been doing IC, or the NPC may be the one to ICly grant them the boon that’s bought OOC with Tokens. For more on your faction’s NPC, you can read up on both Cetina (Meridian) or Kathova (Zenith).
If your character does not have a faction affiliation, they’re not missing out, don’t worry! They may still receive information and/or missions, but they’re more likely to come from a generic, unnamed NPC instead. In terms of boons, you’re free to figure out how it’s received or hash it out with the mods.
(We also recommend keeping your Character Survey up to date, since you never know when a mod might think to reference it, hint hint!)

TOKENS
Tokens are earned through going above and beyond with game participation in the following ways:- Completing Bonus AC (1 token)

Which city did your character spend most of their time in during this AC period?: She split her time pretty evenly between both Springstar and Highstorm
What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: Springstar: the coliseum, the markets, and she’s prooobably temporarily staying in the dorms in this city at least to start with. (Tho tbh this bitch will sleep literally anywhere and not care much lol). Highstorm: she poked around the Greenwood yards quite a bit, as well as the markets.
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: Let’s see… She kind of jumped into the arena with Quetz at the coliseum in the middle of a match. She’s getting into a fist-fight with Jyn on the outskirts of the Fields of Fantasia, as one does. Potentially trying to sneak into one of the greenhouses in the Greenwood Yards with John Gaius??
Did your character contribute to either city? (Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): Thread is literally just starting, but she’s gonna try to look for the blue flowers at World’s Edge along with Caren because she’s super interested in figuring out stuff with the Blight.

Description: It is just a huge-ass battle-axe that is also… a chainsaw. Nothing magical or inherently powerful about it, so I’m assuming it falls into the regular weapon price category? If not, that’s fine! It is kind of weird and enormous lmao. Just let me know!

Which city did your character spend most of their time in during this AC period?: Both Springstar and Highstorm, but she was in the latter a little more by the time part 2 of the event rolled around.
What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: She’d been (sort of) living in the dorms in Springstar prior to her harmonizing with Zenith sometime early during part 2, so folks probably found her there often enough. Thanks to helping out with the Blight research, she spent a lot of time at the Gilden Academy while in Highstorm. Also, if Sebastian continues to be a pushover, she might just keep popping by his house on occasion, lmao,
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: She spent a lot of time doing Blight research in both Springstar and Highstorm, especially in the first half of the month. She also had time-bubble shenanigans with Link and Cassian. When the second half of the event hit, she was pretty much nonstop busy helping rescue npcs and working as a medic at various triage sites once she harmonized.
Did your character contribute to either city? (Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): She helped out Dr. Tousaing with Blight research in order to get some experimental medicines developed! Outside of that, she was incredibly busy helping with the rescue and healing efforts throughout the months. This was in both cities, but it skewed more towards Highstorm by the end of the month, just out of convenience.

Began the month with a time-loop trip to the Scorching Isles with the Blight Buddies to puzzle out a cure. Yelled a bunch about how she thinks people should just fight it out at the Ambassador meet. Went to two Zenith parties (Mingle at the manor and newbie welcoming) and was grumpy about the general Vibes. Decided to take care of a specific plant with Dark, which surely neither of them will regret.

She helped the R1s during their Mess Month in very different ways. When not fighting and/or healing (or giving bad birthday advice), she spent some of the early part of the month in Alenroux, roping in Amos and Yuri into some good ol’ fashioned farm work. She even got a little taste of the outdoors over in Springstar, where she visited Byleth’s world in the Starlight Park. Beach episode saw her giving Link zero privacy in the changing rooms at the mall, and when it came to hanging out on the beach itself, she bothered Hayame and Silco (which may see her both getting thrown into the water and doing some throwing herself, depending how the threads progress!). Beyond that, she’s getting into some drinking, shopping, and arcade gaming. Just vibing.

Started the month off right by trying to goad people into fighting her on the Beef Post, as one does. Stumbled onto the wayward Johnny and Eustace when patrolling in Alenroux.
And then the oracle event happened! During which, she:
‣ Explored with Senti to set up an outpost
‣ Snagged the Necklace from its hiding place with John, who turns on her to steal it and leave her hanging
‣ Bonded with her bestie while searching for lost items
‣ Fights with Byleth (and eventually Hayame) over the Acorn, which gets kicked away during the scuffle
‣ Tried and failed to sneak around the Meri camp, walking right into one of Yuri’s traps
‣ Taught Atsumu how to properly fight a giant ant with a chainsaw

With that being said, he nods slightly as he holds up his feathered hand to tuck back into his storeroom. “It’s a good thing you are here, I don’t think I could orchestrate these to be delivered to you!” he chuckles, though it’s with some strain as he starts to drag a gift out for her. It’s a bit of a long go, because as soon as one is revealed, he has to tuck back into hoist out another. Maybe she’ll take pity on him and help?

Bumped into Link in Highstorm and had a conversation about his worries, which sure did weigh heavily on her mind when she teamed up with Gen and Yuri to fight his T4-Discord dragon form a few days later. When the newbies started showing up, she gave one the explanation at the Tree, and met some while out drinking in Springstar and Kowloon. She also drew some eyes at the Zenith party by getting into an arm wrestling match with Karlach. There was also that time she met a skeleton and they were both totally normal about it.
(She also retroactively helped Silco after Quetz cut off his hand in front of the manor last month.)

What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: Outdoors at lot of the time, but otherwise her usual haunts + a couple of gambling parlors in Kowloon.

If so, what/where?: Mercy-killing Discord monster Link with Yuri and Gen in Springstar’s residential district sure was a thing. Arm wrestling with Karlach at the Zenith get-together was also pretty noticable lol
Did your character contribute to either city? (Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): She tried to encourage civilians to get out of the way when Dragon!Link showed up in Springstar and fought him to keep him from hurting people.

After her (backdated) hollering about what Bondrewd did to Link, she’s very relieved to see that her Meridian pal is finally back on his feet. She had a few other Communion conversations in the early part of the month, including inadvertently teasing Xiao and feeling unsure how grumpy she should be with Aetós when they declare an interest in the odd phenomena that’s begun around the cities. When everyone gets swept away to the spooky amusement park, she mostly engages in some light-hearted shenanigans with carnival games, weird souvenirs, and drinking with Meridians, among other things. And then the end of the month rolls around, in which she enlists Rin and Amos into helping her clear out a cat from Yima’s basement… which ultimately results in her getting mind-controlled by said cat and mercy-killed by her companions. Whoops! The ultimate fate of the creature’s Shard is still up in the air for the moment.

Gavial started the month off reviving at the Tree after the mishap with the creature in the Manor’s catacombs. And because of Arknights Rock Cancer Things™, she had a brief little freak-out when she was back on her feet and woke Amos up in the middle of the night and gave Rin a call the next day to check in on them. Together they later met with Yima to discuss the results of their quets in the catacombs. She (like most of Zenith lbr) was incredibly unhelpful during Atsumu’s burn book communion and mostly did things like piss off Silco. After a laid-back December of (attempted) goat-burning and relaxing, Gavial’s gotten back up to speed this month. Byleth and Yuri ask if she’d join them in investigating something they’re looking into in Kowloon in the near future. And after Yuri’s public communion about the increasing attacks in Springstar, Gavial decides to make a trip to the sunny city to give them a hand, whether they like it or not. At least some new faces are appreciative of the croc doc. And despite her altruistic ways toward those of Meridian, once she returns home she finds herself agreeing to help Amos take out their leader in the future, in an indirect way. Aside from all that, she bothered newbies on and off, such as: giving Matt a run-down of weird happenings, man-handling Therion at the Tomes, patrolling Alenroux at night with Flat, doing some gardening with Karlach.

Which city did your character spend most of their time in during this AC period?: Highstorm primarily, with a week/week and a half trip to Springstar and a few Alenroux visits.
What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: Highstorm: usual venues at the manor, the gardens, etc. Springstar: popping up wherever trouble was going down, and probably relaxing and sleeping in the parks in her downtime………
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: Hard to miss the Zenite loudly trying to help people in Springstar. She also got into a fight in front of the coffee stand at the Tomes, oops.

The month began innocently enough when she joined Team Mercenary to seek out information down in Kowloon. Doing a little gambling and having to make a deal with a devil can’t be that bad, right? She even helped give Matt some backup while he polled the workers in Alenroux for his little survey.
Then comes the attack on Springstar, during which she:
-was confronted by Alice, before they broke off fighting to help protect civilians
-argued with Nebula and left with the threat of a fight in the future
-fought against Hayame around the time Cyrus gets killed, during which the two of them get caught up in a building collapse which takes them out of the fight and gives the Legionary the opportunity to capture Gavial
-orchestrates a jailbreak with Link after he revives
She has a lot of bad feelings after everything happens, which she actually has to talk through (wow), and Drizzt totally didn’t make her cry, totally. She gives Atsumu a hand in dealing with his wounded leg and searching through the rubble, and talks through things some more while at work with Senti and Rin. Thank god Matt is there to encourage a spa day and help her with a little discord aleviation, after all is said and done.

What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: The manor, followed by Sebastian’s house after things went to hell.
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: Making a mess of things in Springstar in the early part of the attack on the city—at least until all the monster attacks had her shifting her focus to trying to help unhappy civilians. Also: jailbreak with Link… And once she manages to get back home, she helped with cleanup and searching for people’s belongings around the manor’s wreckage and helped heal anyone still in need of it.
Did your character contribute to either city? (Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): She joined Yuri and Byleth in their quest to gamble information from Coalbrand, regretfully participated as a member of Team Distraction during the assassination, and helped with things in the aftermath of the manor’s destruction.
What is their current discord level (at the time of their check-in)?: Probably barely back down to 1?

The weeks following the attacks on Springstar and Yima’s manor were spent being quietly angy by Gavial. Outside of some bickering when it came to gossip time, she mostly tried to stick to routine and try to puzzle out how to make sure the goal they’re all working toward ends up being a worthwhile one. Thank god the Oracle showed up before too long. She hopped worlds a bit, and ended up teaming up with Yuri for a bit of unexpected cross-faction alliance during the events. And before they could run out of time, Gavial and Amos completed a task given to them by Florence, marking poor Alice with a brand for the Waru.
