ACTIVITY REWARDS
AC REWARDS
Since Kenos is a plot-heavy game based on engaging with other characters and the setting, we want to reward people that go above and beyond! Kenos does this through a Token system, which is a set of OOC rewards that translate to IC rewards. Using Tokens, you can make augment your character’s powers (or make completely new ones), get plot clues, or buy an exotic pet, to name a few things!
Tokens can be used to purchase items from the list below. If you have an idea for something you might like to use tokens on that isn’t listed or aren't sure how many tokens your idea would cost, feel free to ask! Mods may adjust the Token cost for some requests, since below are guidelines, and specific requests may fall into a different Token cost depending on the capabilities of the request.
Note, the Power Cap applies to all purchased items and powers, so they may require adjustment to fit underneath these limitations!
Finally, this system also includes a Powerlevel Discount. As a part of your application acceptance, you were assigned a Level based on the powers you described in your application. This Level entitles you to a discount of the prices above, which is as follows:
This discount is to help address power creep and try and make the stakes of the game more even. This way characters who come into the game well-equipped from their canon don’t dominate others, which results in better tension and stakes! With that in mind, mods may reduce or take away a character’s discount as they become more evenly matched with higher Levels, which you will be informed of.
In addition, this page is also used to share and submit your Notable Actions! Notable Actions sounds fancy, but it’s essentially a summary of what your character did during the month! This helps the Loremaster team by giving a good view of what characters are up to and interested in so that we can help the world be responsive to character actions. This summary can be a bulleted list or prose, and we would love it if it also included links, but it doesn’t have to. For an example of what we’re looking for, see this comment which shows the general format and what you can expect from rewards and/or this comment, which is a character played by one of the Loremasters!
Notable actions should include things that have been threaded out this month, but can also include hand-waved interactions about interacting with the world of Kenos at large, and we in fact recommend this! Is your character a regular at a bar? Did they start modeling for a clothing shop they like? Or maybe they're often seen at one of the city's libraries this month because they're deeply researching a new topic. Let us know, since this helps us get a sense of what your character's interests in the world are and can help us create more customized hooks for your character in turn!
IC, characters are asked to at least check in with their faction’s second-in-command once a month, since they’re similarly interested in what characters are getting up to. This check-in is at the character’s leisure and meant to be casual IC as well! Depending on what characters tell their respective NPC, they may get special information or missions that are relevant to what they’ve been doing IC, or the NPC may be the one to ICly grant them the boon that’s bought OOC with Tokens. For more on your faction’s NPC, you can read up on both Cetina (Meridian) or Kathova (Zenith).
If your character does not have a faction affiliation, they’re not missing out, don’t worry! They may still receive information and/or missions, but they’re more likely to come from a generic, unnamed NPC instead. In terms of boons, you’re free to figure out how it’s received or hash it out with the mods.
(We also recommend keeping your Character Survey up to date, since you never know when a mod might think to reference it, hint hint!)

TOKENS

Silco
october 2022
⮩ Woke up in Yima's basement, promptly stumbled to Yima and got asked to make monsters, starting things out strong
⮩ Had conversations with Sebastian (a tool we'll be using later) and Kaeya (manipulative) and then proceeded to "help" Gen and Atsumu with their Kenoma, but without communion.
⮩ As the TDM commenced, great news, Silco and his daughter are reunited, and then promptly proceed to cut their hands off -- and not in the way it was intended. (BAD)
⮩ He had several interesting conversations, amounting essentially to getting a feel for the new arrivals, Absolutely harassed Vi by being a creepy skinny gargoyle. Definitely talked to some old faces and new arrivals, researched the local power players, and hung out at a Vampire Bar...

Token Purchase

Description: Make them worse
Now that Silco has been given a directive from Yima, it's time to make the monsters even more. I don't think that either facet of this power should be separated, but I'm totally down to tweak it if y'all want! As it is a social power, it would require opting-in by a player to be used, and yes, I will add it to the Opt-in Pages list. I will not be utilizing this power unless discussed beforehand, and given explicit permission to do so. Now that the promise to do good with this is out of the way, let's get down to doing bad.
When actively used, Silco will be able to see/know something about a character that can be utilized to influence toward making a character dip their toes toward the monstrous. This could be something like an insecurity, a crime from their past, or perhaps something that was done to them, that makes them angry, hurt, or weak, a feeling that they don't like, or even something they wanted to do that they never felt that they could. A facet of their personalities and/or complexes that if they indulge in the feelings of, would trend them toward making bad decisions.
And what makes this power a major power? Using this power, Silco will be able to push those facets of a character, whether it's an insecurity, bad feels, whatever, and influence the character to indulge in those traits/facets. It does not allow him to control a character, but consider it a low-level influence, that when he pushes against these insecurities in conversation, the character may feel the emotions stronger, or be willing to embrace the emotions more, or do the thing they don't think they should even if it feels good. These effects do not linger with any major permanency -- but I leave it up to the other player to determine how long the effects linger (Generally no more than a day). And of course, even when the influence, or the "push" is gone, Characters are allowed to continue to ruminate on it, on how it feels, or how they feel after. There's no memory loss or a feeling of possession or anything like that, the character is fully cognizant -- but it's not really an apparent influence either -- although it's weird that it happened after talking to Silco, huh? :|a
So! For example! Character A feels deep guilt about stealing something from a shop when they were hungry back home, and even worse that they felt good about it, and victorious. Silco, seeing that they feel guilt about enjoying stealing, pushes this in conversation through (naturally) a rant about how stealing from their betters is totally fine. The influence works its magic on the character. The character, having had an interesting talk with Silco, will make a bad decision on their way home, and will take something from a shop, because they wanted it. Of course, it feels good, it always had, but perhaps the guilt isn't there anymore, at least not in the moment. Obviously, our blorbos can feel bad about it later as much as we want -- which just makes it better, as they spiral into a string of poor decisions.
Notes: This is mostly influenced by a few instances where Silco has suggested, or bullied a character into making a bad decision, and so it's natural that he'll slowly develop a sort of influence in this direction. He just wants to make monsters... I'm sorry...

⮩ Silco promptly made a deal that won't come back to haunt him...

disneylandKOWLOON, also horrible drama happened and Silco made mistakes. Great.⮩ Met up with Amos in KOWLOON - talked about MAYBE NOT BRINGING MERIDIANS DOWN HERE (it didn't work)
⮩ Did some wheelin' and dealin' in KOWLOON (yay) Made deals with Birdie Martinson and Yura in Particular to enable the...lovely venture he's turning Sebastian toward (Shimmer. It's making Shimmer. You all know this)
⮩ Honestly spent about as much possible time as his Discord would allow in Kowloon -- and once it was clear hah. He was pretty much down there almost as much as he could. No reason.
⮩ Hung around both cities a bit; this involved talking to several individuals, but nothing WILD happened (yet)
⮩ Discovered his new power
⮩ Hunted down a dryad with Jinx and Sebastian
⮩ Went on a pic-a-nic with Lottie in Springstar. They probably looked like a goth kid and a pastel goth in the park

⮩ Spent the majority of December in Kowloon, establishing himself at Birdie's as well as working with Sebastian on developing a real ass liquid Shimmer with Sebastian. Things are going great.
⮩ Was very active sending shimmer-ed folks into Ryad! Sent Amos in there to go completely berserk, and collected his shard afterward/took it to the tree. Good buddy, huh?
⮩ Also shimmered some randos for Set to kill? Really just Making Friends.
⮩ Did attend the harmonization ceremony but came late because he doesn't follow any rules
⮩ Mid-Month he...mostly disappeared from the Manor and spent the majority of his time in Kowloon if he isn't holed up in his quarters. It's fine and normal to do this.

Description: Invisibility! Silco is able to turn himself invisible in non-combat only situations. Which means if he initiates combat invisibly, he gets one sneak attack in before the invisibility drops. It does not muffle his steps or sounds, and he can still be located by magical or other sensory means.

⮩ Started out the month back in the tree Again. AGAIN! With Voryn and Revolver Ocelot, He caused problems and tried to act as a spoiler to Voryn's attempts to cleanse the tree.

⮩ Encouraged Teacher to talk to Yima in support of sad dad feels
⮩ Met Sveinn. He's just a little guy
⮩ Talked to Yima about Things That Are Sad, and got an extra discord power out of it.
⮩ Offered to help fellow Zenites if they need it. It's fine, and not bad a bad deal at all.
⮩ Stole/Took sand from Crona, Mamoru, Heine, Vander, David (Thus far lol, this may increase) during the Event.
⮩ Might have took Vander's Memories of Powder. It's find and healthy to do this to cope.
⮩ Retrieved an Hourglass along with Sebastian and Ocelot and used that to pump resources for Zenith during the vent

Description: Shimmer Influence
This will require Opt-In from the player if he uses it on a player!
As an addition to Silco's shimmer abilities, if someone is affected by his shimmer power only (you know, in case artificial shimmer comes about somehow??) Silco will be able to direct and control the shimmered person/creature. This can affect NPCs as well as PCs, but allows him a degree of control over them, to prevent them from turning on him (thanks Ocelot) and also allows him to direct people toward his goals. This can, of course, be overcome by a great deal of will -- or player opt out, or because he turns them one someone they care about, because they've got power over Silco or just really hate him -- but it essentially gives him extra insurance over getting turned on, and allows him to use it as a stronger insurance against problems in a pinch!

Did your character contribute to either city? (Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): (☞ﾟヮﾟ)☞ Draumahol and drug culture! Are y'all ready for a Night club? He's definitely turning it into a nightclub... I hope the dear souls are ready for it. He also DID assist with convincing some new faces upon arrival to harmonize. He also dealt with Set extensively due to their deal. don't worry about it! He also threatened Diluc, was a general menace, probably talked to Aetós and gossiped about certain Things Happening (lol. lmao.) Mostly he's focused on Draumahol tho, and didn't really do much that could be considered significant beyond that. Conveniently, I was busy, so it was good timing!

GIFT REWARD
In Silco's dream, the familiar ambiance of his office in Zaun envelops him as he finds himself in the company of Jinx. The dimly lit room is filled with laughter and mischief, the air buzzing with her energy as she tinkers with a bomb in his bedroom... Good thing he’s a trusting father, or something.
As the dream progresses, Silco's attention is drawn to a throbbing pain in his eye. Sensing his discomfort, he turns to Jinx. With a hint of dramatic flair, Jinx retrieves a syringe from Silco's dresser, positioning herself as to administer the familiar care, and Silco shifts to accommodate.
As Jinx brings the syringe closer, Silco can feel a growing unease that he doesn’t quite understand. His instincts kick in, and he reaches out to stop her, but it's too late. The syringe breaks the surface of his eye, and in that instant, everything changes. Jinx disappears before his eyes, dissipating into thin air. The room plunges into an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of the syringe hitting the floor.
Startled, Silco awakens, his heart pounding in his chest. He finds himself back in his own room, the dream's lingering essence still lingering in his mind. The eye syringe lies on the floor exactly where it fell, a stark reminder of the bizarre dream that just played out. Silco's eye stings, but as he inspects it, he finds no physical trace of the syringe's touch.

Well after he was dissipated he spent a bit of the month as Quetz's prisoner as a shard, until Atsumu saved him. Afer, he caught up on all the fun news, and found out he's going to die. Which meant he threw a BIG TANTRUM and dissipated Sebastian. Yay! Then he called Set and had a freakout about leaving Jinx's shard, so things are going gREAT?? I guess also there's all the stuff in Kowloon, and planning more monster attacks? Really, it's hard to be a crime lord when you find out you're gonna die in a few months.
