ACTIVITY REWARDS
AC REWARDS
Since Kenos is a plot-heavy game based on engaging with other characters and the setting, we want to reward people that go above and beyond! Kenos does this through a Token system, which is a set of OOC rewards that translate to IC rewards. Using Tokens, you can make augment your character’s powers (or make completely new ones), get plot clues, or buy an exotic pet, to name a few things!
Tokens can be used to purchase items from the list below. If you have an idea for something you might like to use tokens on that isn’t listed or aren't sure how many tokens your idea would cost, feel free to ask! Mods may adjust the Token cost for some requests, since below are guidelines, and specific requests may fall into a different Token cost depending on the capabilities of the request.
Note, the Power Cap applies to all purchased items and powers, so they may require adjustment to fit underneath these limitations!
Finally, this system also includes a Powerlevel Discount. As a part of your application acceptance, you were assigned a Level based on the powers you described in your application. This Level entitles you to a discount of the prices above, which is as follows:
This discount is to help address power creep and try and make the stakes of the game more even. This way characters who come into the game well-equipped from their canon don’t dominate others, which results in better tension and stakes! With that in mind, mods may reduce or take away a character’s discount as they become more evenly matched with higher Levels, which you will be informed of.
In addition, this page is also used to share and submit your Notable Actions! Notable Actions sounds fancy, but it’s essentially a summary of what your character did during the month! This helps the Loremaster team by giving a good view of what characters are up to and interested in so that we can help the world be responsive to character actions. This summary can be a bulleted list or prose, and we would love it if it also included links, but it doesn’t have to. For an example of what we’re looking for, see this comment which shows the general format and what you can expect from rewards and/or this comment, which is a character played by one of the Loremasters!
Notable actions should include things that have been threaded out this month, but can also include hand-waved interactions about interacting with the world of Kenos at large, and we in fact recommend this! Is your character a regular at a bar? Did they start modeling for a clothing shop they like? Or maybe they're often seen at one of the city's libraries this month because they're deeply researching a new topic. Let us know, since this helps us get a sense of what your character's interests in the world are and can help us create more customized hooks for your character in turn!
IC, characters are asked to at least check in with their faction’s second-in-command once a month, since they’re similarly interested in what characters are getting up to. This check-in is at the character’s leisure and meant to be casual IC as well! Depending on what characters tell their respective NPC, they may get special information or missions that are relevant to what they’ve been doing IC, or the NPC may be the one to ICly grant them the boon that’s bought OOC with Tokens. For more on your faction’s NPC, you can read up on both Cetina (Meridian) or Kathova (Zenith).
If your character does not have a faction affiliation, they’re not missing out, don’t worry! They may still receive information and/or missions, but they’re more likely to come from a generic, unnamed NPC instead. In terms of boons, you’re free to figure out how it’s received or hash it out with the mods.
(We also recommend keeping your Character Survey up to date, since you never know when a mod might think to reference it, hint hint!)

TOKENS
Tokens are earned through going above and beyond with game participation in the following ways:- Completing Bonus AC (1 token)

❖ He arrived in Kenos and met some people - most notable being Claude, though it seemed this one was from an alternative timeline.
❖ Went to Scorching Isles where he ran into Dimitri - again, from an alternative timeline - and Claude, and they all agreed to stick together, as they could trust they all desired the same thing: the return of their home. Some awkward tension though, as Byleth isn't the one they know and love, as he was never a professor at Garreg Mach in his time, so he's still a very reserved, cold-faced mercenary.
❖ Additionally, Byleth helped out Kaeya against his doppelganger. Afterwards he will realise he was Zenith, but will be reluctant to cut ties. Outside of these races for the Oracle, there's no need for them to be in conflict, right? Byleth's gonna be trying for cross-faction cooperation whenever possible because of this.
❖ Worked with Hythlodaeus to try and find this strange beast described in one of the books. Byleth only used a fraction of his Sand to unfreeze a book from the library.
❖ Otherwise, Byleth has spent the month familiarising himself with the terrain, where to find things, going for long walks out of anxious boredom, missing his dad, all that fun stuff. So, he's been easy to spot but he hasn't done much so far. Still processing his situation, tbh.
❖ Plan is for Byleth to start doing lost & found stuff, the permission post which is here. Starts unofficial, but once he starts noticing a theme, it may become an official thing he tries to do for both factions.

Feb 2023
❖ Soon after Meridian's loss for the Oracle, and after they had a very heated Communion about it, Claude reached out to Byleth to check up on him, where Byleth admitted he feels subpar compared to the Byleth Claude knew. They both agreed to try and get to know each other as they are in Kenos.
❖ After that, he spent most of his time in Springstar, and had a very dubious night out with Abel (and being mistaken for a divine being - technically not wrong). He also ran into a very lovely mare before the masq (and her rider too, he supposed).
❖ Also had a girls night out with Dimitri and Claude, with them trying to swap notes on their respective timeline. It was put on hold when Byleth got upset partway through, and they decided to spend the rest of the night unwinding with drinks instead.
❖ The masquerade was both an overwhelming and fun experience for Byleth. He went on a blind date with Claude, which actually helped him realise that him walling off others in this new place was detrimental to himself, and has now resolved to be more outgoing (which can be seen in the Manon Communion later on!). He also bumped into Dimitri (who he scolded), Hayame (who he sniffed) and Sebastian (who he rambled about stars to).
❖ For the Manon Communion, he was a lot more engaging than he was for the first one. Aside from, uh, directly confronting Yima of her sussy intentions, he also offered his opinion to Vander regarding how they should approach the interrogation of Manon. Oh, and he sassed Set and took Childe's turn of phrase a little too literally.
❖ After the Communion he takes Claude out for cake in return for what he did for him earlier in the month, since he noticed how stressed he was looking.

❖ Byleth began his investigation into the three missing Shard-bearers. First he informed those closest to him about the task he was undertaking, followed by him approaching the whole thing rather proactively! His artwork could do with some improvement, though...
❖ His investigation also brought him to Kowloon and Highstorm, not that it did him any good.
❖ However, he did have a breakthrough, thanks to Mams! He learned that Birdie was a front person for a bar called Draumahol, and decided to investigate the establishment... which he'll do in April, with Mams and Vander, who he also informed of the link between Birdie's disappearance and whoever the new owner of Draumahol is. Like that isn't going to be a disaster...
❖ For the Alenroux occupation, he attended the Meri Mingle, made some friends, got into an arm wrestling competition with Hayame, started a drinking game and, uh...
❖ Claude spent the night in his tent 😳
❖ Oh and he tried to cut Dark in half.
❖ And last, but not least, he called Set cute and ranked him Number 22 in the Cute Rankings, because he exists solely to drive Set insane I guess.

❖ Yes, and he told Cetina his plan to raid Silco's bar and admitted that his plan is essentially "go to bar -> speak to owner -> ask him if he's the culprit -> ???? -> profit".

Purchasing: Furnished Home!
Cost: Three tokens
Description: A small, log cabin in the Katoikitikós District in Springstar that is pretty much like a studio apartment in terms of space. The land is mostly dedicated to a garden he insists on having, since he finds comfort in greenery and wants to take a crack at tending to flowers and the like now that he's forced to stay in one location. The interior pretty much looks like a ye olde medieval cabin, with a below grade firepit and everything.
Notes: Finally. Byleth can stop living in the woods or wherever it was he was sleeping.

❖ The summary of Byleth's investigation into the missing people is this: Kaeya floated a suspicion that Hythlodaeus had been turned into a beast, courtesy of Aetós, a suspicion that Byleth had himself during a conversation with Vander, at realising that maybe these missing people had been picked up by Aetós, and that there may be more victims currently gone unnoticed... Silco, as well, confirmed that Aetós was involved in Birdie's disappearance as well (while, of course, squirming out of any direct blame himself).
❖ As linked above, he raided Silco's bar and likely made an enemy for life...
❖ He joined Set, Cassian and Mamoru on a sidequest into the Beyond. Progress is still on going but pretty sure no one will want to go on a field trip with Byleth ever again after this.
❖ He shared information about Aetós's notebook on the Info Share Communion.
❖ He helped Liem with his PR efforts in Alenroux and Ruby in calming the monsters so they won't fight the soldiers.
❖ He's helping Gavial regarding the Blight by telling her of his experiences on the Scorching Isles.
❖ For Fódlan Trio stuff, Claude gives Byleth Clauddles the Golden Deer plushie and Byleth does a house warming party/sleepover with Claude and Dimitri! Just in time for Springstar to get fucked by the event! Yeah!! He also met Claude's child self in the event.
❖ He told Veyle of Dark's actions in Alenroux, causing some conflict between those two, oops.
❖ Byleth ran into Bondrewd in Springstar and helped him out in a bind... may end up as his research subject too (coughs).
❖ For Part two of the event, he's helping out Springstar with the medical triage aspect, putting that healing magic to good use (while trying to maintain distance from anything Blight-y).

Did Your Character Check In? Yes! And he told Cetina of what he learned in his investigation (that Aetós is the likely culprit, and also that there may've been more disappearances by his hand that have gone unnoticed). To soften the blow of this potentially bad news, he also brings Cetina some cake for her hard work. Though, because he didn't know which cake was her favourite, he actually bought her multiple cakes of varying flavours. So. Enjoy!
May 2023
❖ Prior to the event, he had an appointment with Cyrus discussing his investigation into the missing people, and concluding that Aetós was to blame. Additionally he went on a wyvern date with Claude and hung out with Dimitri and Link!
❖ He also complained about Dark's lack of gratitude over
being poisonedeating his cooking. Also Slave Discourse happened.❖ EVENT TIME!!!! Sothis got up to a lot in his stead. As well as finalising his harmonisation by wrangling both Liem and Rin into trading with her, she also prevented Dimitri from killing Rin (and thus letting a Zenith live, oops). Prior to Sothis taking the wheel, Byleth explored the empty city with Cassian, and spoke with Gen and Flamebringer. He also sang Set a song. Aw.
❖ Fallout from this is that this event has succeeded in bumping Sothis out of her nap: she'll return to a passive force once the event concludes, but on occasion will take a peek at what Byleth is up to running around in Kenos. She only intervenes if she feels that her vessel is in mortal danger, otherwise she's very hands off and lets Byleth vibe as he wills.

Token Purchase
Purchasing: Sword of the Creator... aka Sothis's spine.
Cost: Four.
Description: A legendary blade that was crafted from Sothis's corpse. It can turn into a whipsword which vastly extends its range and is essentially indestructible. It also glows if handled by someone of a compatible Crest. I'm not planning on him actually using it though, he's just going to give it a funeral.
GIFT REWARD
In the dream, Byleth finds himself upon a stream, where the water rushes by with a merry gurgle. The sun is shining, birds chirping, and while Byleth holds one pole, that has a string leading to the water, next to him is another lure bobbing in the stream. If he looks over, he’ll see Jeralt next to him, also holding one of the poles. When he meets his father’s eye, Jeralt will give him a wink, and tell him it’s not such a bad day to kick up and relax, is it?
Of course, fishing is not exactly the most…exciting of activities. It involves a lot of waiting, so it’s a very long, calm dream. If Byleth asks anything, Jeralt’s answers are vague, but reassuring, no guidance to be found regarding his current situation. Although, eventually, Byleth’s line starts to tug, but it’s… consierable, whatever he’s caught. The line winds, and eventually Jeralt has to let go of his own and help Byleth reel this one in. What comes out is a very large, long fish. Jeralt laughs as they pull it up, and claps Byleth on the shoulder. “Not a bad catch, kid. Not bad at all.”
As the dream fades, Byleth will awaken to… the lingering feeling of sore muscles – perhaps he’d been trying to reel the fish in while he slept? – and the faint scent of… Well. Fish. And wherever he keeps his weapons, he’ll find a new Claymore sized weapon! Joy of joys!

❖ Fresh from the Oracle event, Byleth tried clearing the air with Dimitri. The fact he still feels Dimitri is projecting his Byleth onto him is something that still bothers him deeply. He doesn't feel like he got his message across, though...
❖ Byleth ran into Set at Alenroux whilst in one of his Osiris delusions and tried to aid him. During their conversation, Byleth promised Set that he'd help him achieve his happy ending no matter what. How he's going to do this... uh, he's working on it.
❖ Afterwards at the funeral celebration, Byleth asked Set for assistance on what to do to respectfully put Sothis's "to rest" now that he regained the Sword of the Creator (i.e. her remains). Tl;dr, transforming her into something other than a weapon (like a pen) would go a long way, but he'll need to some help on how to do this...
❖ Which is why Sothis is securing a favour from Rin to help him with this. Then she can go to sleep forever and escape the Kenos insanity (lucky...)
❖ Jyn tried getting Alenroux info from him for her report to Yima, but he just gave her a fish lecture instead...

❖ Gave Hayame some birthday present advice and maybe helped? Probably. Why do so many different world all have the same birthday song?
❖ He and Rin finally achieved their aim of putting Sothis "to rest" by transfiguring the Sword of the Creator into the, uh, Pen of the Creator?
❖ Byleth and Bondrewd begin their investigations into the mysteries of Byleth's biology, which won't cause any future problems whatsoever.
❖ He's aiding Hayame in her quest to solve the mystery of why monsters appear in Alenroux with Akua and Gray.
❖ Oh, and he enjoyed beach episode by going mildly insane over fish and figuring out Claude and Hayame are a thing. Their secret is safe with him! Provided he remembers it. Since he was super drunk.

❖ After their trip to the beach he filled his house up with fish merchandise, bought two plushies thanks to Cassian, and now has an army of very big, very beautiful shark figurines he stole from the cocktail drinks.
❖ Participating in the Oracle event, where he fought Gavial over an acorn (and lost it to Jyn) and rescued 'Little D' from the ants. Also got rescued himself by Rin from the rain.
❖ Otherwise, he grew closer to members of Meridian during the Oracle event such as Gray where they 'fought' a bird together, and Yuri who helped him find Shez's whistle.
❖ Byleth also figured out that Hayame and Claude are ~together~ but won't say anything about it to anyone (because he doesn't gossip so doesn't think it's important).

❖ Had a fairly quiet month, so not much notable to report, except that he unlocked his dragon shapeshifting powers and spent a day failing to fly in Alenroux (which did prompt a few monster sightings reports oops).

❖ Aided Hayame in preparation for the potential Zenith invasion when the Oracle appeared in Springstar (this was handwaved in favour of Oracle focus).
❖ In the Oracle event itself, he interacted with a few people but most importantly... he got Shadownapped, and after picking a fight with Link and Dimitri, ended up being killed by Shez and having his Shard taken by him onwards to the Oracle.
❖ As a result, Byleth will be dead until he revives in Dec! Yay!

❖ He revived from being dead!!! Set invaded his home to give him herbs and tea!!! (thank you set)
❖ Had an awkward not-heart-to-heart talk with Shez, but thankfully they settled their differences after failing to set the Goat on fire (they didn't get arrested though!) and having an actual heart-to-heart talk thanks to Byleth dropped his gift-whistle.
❖ Yuri mentioned an excursion to Kowloon to hunt down some 'research', so Byleth expressed concern over him going alone. Additionally, he and Yuri attended the festival and were asked by a moonbug to 'make something memorable', prompting them to do a fish-themed firework using their magic.
❖ Contacted Link to apologise for what Shadow Byleth did to him, and thankfully there were no hard feelings on that front!
❖ Dimitri gave him a gift as well, and Byleth also apologised to him for Shadow Byleth shenanigans. Dimitri gave him some good advice on how to handle screwing up... Dimitri is a good bean.
❖ Uhh technically forwarded dated to when they're given the kenotebooks but Byleth accidentally sent his romance writings to the Shard-bearers shared books. Oops.

❖ He and Shez shared a Wii shop music moment together where they spiderman pointed at one another over Shez unlocking Divine Pulse.
❖ He offered to help Howl move something 'very sensitive' (Calcifer) from Highstorm to Springstar.
❖ Spoke to D about this weird entropy entity that has haunted his dreams since he died... they both realised that Kenos is actually a haunted Stardew Valley simulator.
❖ Also helped Matt during the chaos of the Springstar invasion, where he marshalled him into service as his shield while he burned shit down, and had a very concerning conversation with Dimitri over what retaliation Meridian would launch. He also tried to comfort Claude post-Cyrus death too.

❖ Wandered a strange mirror of Fodlan where Zanado was never destroyed and the Nabatean civilisation was still around, experiencing a strange sort of melancholy at witnessing something that'll never be in his world...
❖ He actually witnessed a lot of weird mirrors of Fodlan, actually... (that maxed out Fire Emblem cast)
❖ Either way, he rescued the world shard of two of those Fodlans at least, and kept the dreamer shard from his.
❖ Played with the little Jinba kids in Hayame's world and ran into someone who enjoyed weaponry and sparring just as much as him (Alice)
❖ Got free drinks from Howl like the freeloader that he is in a Welsh pub. Has now mentally registered Howl as "guy who'll buy drinks" and will definitely try to get him to buy him more back in Kenos. Sorry Howl.
