ACTIVITY REWARDS
AC REWARDS
Since Kenos is a plot-heavy game based on engaging with other characters and the setting, we want to reward people that go above and beyond! Kenos does this through a Token system, which is a set of OOC rewards that translate to IC rewards. Using Tokens, you can make augment your character’s powers (or make completely new ones), get plot clues, or buy an exotic pet, to name a few things!
Tokens can be used to purchase items from the list below. If you have an idea for something you might like to use tokens on that isn’t listed or aren't sure how many tokens your idea would cost, feel free to ask! Mods may adjust the Token cost for some requests, since below are guidelines, and specific requests may fall into a different Token cost depending on the capabilities of the request.
Note, the Power Cap applies to all purchased items and powers, so they may require adjustment to fit underneath these limitations!
Finally, this system also includes a Powerlevel Discount. As a part of your application acceptance, you were assigned a Level based on the powers you described in your application. This Level entitles you to a discount of the prices above, which is as follows:
This discount is to help address power creep and try and make the stakes of the game more even. This way characters who come into the game well-equipped from their canon don’t dominate others, which results in better tension and stakes! With that in mind, mods may reduce or take away a character’s discount as they become more evenly matched with higher Levels, which you will be informed of.
In addition, this page is also used to share and submit your Notable Actions! Notable Actions sounds fancy, but it’s essentially a summary of what your character did during the month! This helps the Loremaster team by giving a good view of what characters are up to and interested in so that we can help the world be responsive to character actions. This summary can be a bulleted list or prose, and we would love it if it also included links, but it doesn’t have to. For an example of what we’re looking for, see this comment which shows the general format and what you can expect from rewards and/or this comment, which is a character played by one of the Loremasters!
Notable actions should include things that have been threaded out this month, but can also include hand-waved interactions about interacting with the world of Kenos at large, and we in fact recommend this! Is your character a regular at a bar? Did they start modeling for a clothing shop they like? Or maybe they're often seen at one of the city's libraries this month because they're deeply researching a new topic. Let us know, since this helps us get a sense of what your character's interests in the world are and can help us create more customized hooks for your character in turn!
IC, characters are asked to at least check in with their faction’s second-in-command once a month, since they’re similarly interested in what characters are getting up to. This check-in is at the character’s leisure and meant to be casual IC as well! Depending on what characters tell their respective NPC, they may get special information or missions that are relevant to what they’ve been doing IC, or the NPC may be the one to ICly grant them the boon that’s bought OOC with Tokens. For more on your faction’s NPC, you can read up on both Cetina (Meridian) or Kathova (Zenith).
If your character does not have a faction affiliation, they’re not missing out, don’t worry! They may still receive information and/or missions, but they’re more likely to come from a generic, unnamed NPC instead. In terms of boons, you’re free to figure out how it’s received or hash it out with the mods.
(We also recommend keeping your Character Survey up to date, since you never know when a mod might think to reference it, hint hint!)

TOKENS

February 2023
Dimitri participated in the diplomatic summit regarding the fate of Manon, which turned out to be more frustrating than he anticipated. running headlong into what he he thinks of as bad faith negotiating has hardened his resolve to ensure that Meridian triumphs, if only for the sake of what he fights for. He had a meeting with Claude and Byleth regarding their different timelines and the managed to get a bit of relaxation in at the >a href="https://kenoslogs.dreamwidth.org/7995.html?thread=3576891#cmt3576891">Masquerade.

What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: He continues to loiter near the gardens, but has started offering his own hand as a laborer - he has great strength and he finds the work pleasing. Plus it's a way to earn a bit of a living.
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: Yes; he was present at the negotiation in front of Cyrus and Yima both and argued for Meridian to keep Manon or at least have a chance to speak to him and obtain information. He has also spoken to Cyrus regarding Zenith's attitude in general.

What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: The training grounds and the arena, for the most part - he's been adjusting to his new command.

(Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): He did participate in the Kowloon invasion and helped with said occupation as an officer - although he did express some private doubts to Diluc. He also assisted some of the people who ended up lost and needing help.

What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: Currently he's still living in the provided public housing or camping out with his military unit in Alenroux, depending on where he is.

(Resources, work, side quests, etc - this includes Kowloon): Aside from the above, he spent part of the month in Alenroux, working on helping with patrols and winning hearts and minds. However, he also got a little bamboozled and is now a bit of a information sump for Rin.
What is their current discord level (at the time of their check-in)?: Medium; he's been picking some up throughout the latter half of the month.

Which city did your character spend most of their time in during this AC period?: Springstar or Alenroux, at least earlier in the month.
What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: The barracks, a local cafe, Byleth's house, and a Meridian outpost.
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: Well, most of these notable actions weren't particularly in front of anyone, but he did do quite a bit in all honesty. He had an impromptu cook-out with Byleth and Link in Alenroux, as well as communicating some rather disturbing visions to the rest of Meridian early on in the month. When everything started going pear-shaped, he got a little more involved as he wandered the dead future that they were all propelled into. First, he did a bit of exploration with both Link and with Claude, uncovering a few things about this doomed timeline they found themselves in.
As things start to get a worse, his mood starts to slip - although he does successfully trade with both Childe and John to try and regain his own sense of self as a Meridian, he also ends up snapping under the pressure and first attempting to kill Rin, being only stopped by Sothis' intervention. He encounters Amos and the two struggle for dominance or to kill or convert one another; he also tried to kill Ruby for the crime of turning against Meridian and, as he thinks, dooming his world to oblivion.
Did your character contribute to either city?: He worked on the outposts in Alenroux, but his time was sadly cut short by the Oracle event.

GIFT REWARD
As Dimitri drifts into the realm of dreams, he finds himself in the heart of Springstar. Amidst the vibrant streets, he encounters a serene NPC, their eyes filled with empathy and understanding. In an instant, Dimitri senses that there is something special about this person.
Engaging in conversation, Dimitri discovers that they’re a skilled therapist, gifted in guiding others towards inner healing. Intrigued by the prospect of finding solace, he decides to give therapy a chance. The dream transitions to a cozy office, where Dimitri sits across from the therapist, their presence calming and reassuring.
Although the details of their conversation remain vague in the dream, Dimitri is overwhelmed by a profound sense of peace and acceptance. It is as if the weight on his shoulders has been lifted, and he feels a glimmer of hope. As he bids farewell and steps out of the office, Dimitri takes note of its location, etching it into his memory.
Upon waking, Dimitri's curiosity beckons him to explore the waking world. Following his intuition, he finds himself standing before the very same office he encountered in his dream. The therapist awaits inside, as if their paths were destined to intertwine. With a welcoming smile, they extend an offer to talk. Maybe therapy can help him piece out some of his troubles.

Which city did your character spend most of their time in during this AC period?: Springstar or Alenroux
What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: In Springstar, he spent most of his time trying to help clean up the residential district, as well as trying to just sort of get himself back together while he recovers from the month before and his previous low point. It's been a bit tough, but he's managing (slowly). In Alenroux, he stayed around the new town that's been springing up when he was present, working with his troops to keep the area safe and trying to make sure that the locals were being treated properly. He's also working with his new therapise.
Did your character perform any notable actions in front of NPC's in either city this month? If so, what/where?: A few notable actions:
-helped with the clean-up of the residential area in Springstar (see link below)
-continued to be a presence on Alenroux, trying to be a friendly face and help the locals out where he can - mostly by providing himself as labor. It relaxes him and he tries not to to take too much credit. Mostly he shows up, helps out, reuses payment, leaves.
-As of the end of the month, he's trying to figure out why there's a slight downtick in approval for him and the others who are there, but he hasn't done anything about it just yet; expect some stuff from him on this next month.
-Continued working with his military unit on training
-Volunteered for the prospective new diplomacy shenanigans

-The rest of his time was spent in Springstar, mostly living the life he's sort of settled into and assisting with any residual clean-up from the blight.

What venues or residences did they spend the majority of their time in while there?: Honestly, he's been taking time for himself this month while recovering from the whole Oracle thing and while he has been very punctual about going to Alenroux to keep up his efforts there, he's mostly been working on his garden this month and taking it a bit easy. Also figuring out how to kill Set, but that's totally something new.

* Participated in the Meridian Burn Book post
* Helped evacuate civilians from the area the Oracle was supposed to show up in.
* Successfully won the hedge race, although he did stop to help Atsumu with his entanglements.
* Prior to the Oracle start he was also assisting with civilian movement and evacuation.
* He ended up in a room with Nebula shortly after his arrival; they had to have a frank conversation about the past and what you end up leaving behind - or keeping - as you move forward.
* Afterward, he ended up in a strange puzzle room with Midna; they eventually solved it and managed to get out.
* He spent some time with Yuri wandering the maze and trying to get as close to the center as possible.
* He ended up trapped in a pit-trap/false floor puzzle and had to fight Link near the end of the event; despite his reservations, they did fight.
* Similarly he also fought a corrupted Byleth, striving to come out on top.
* He also had to deal with a lot of FEELINGS with Joshua and cried it out a bit.
* Perhaps most appropriately, he fought Gen to a standstill - and then gave the Oracle all of Gen, dissipating him.

*Ran into Gen pre-assassination and had a nasty fight.
*Spent a lot of time in Springstar trying to stop things from getting out of control. It didn't go well.
*Mourned in the aftermath and spent more time helping with the clean-up and considering where to go from there.
*Has started talking to various legionaries under his command and other officers to feel out where they stand, now that Cyrus is dead and the war is getting hotter.
