Character Name(s): Dimiti Alexandre Blaiddyd
Series: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Wiki Link: Here

THE GOOD

How far would they go to accomplish their goals or fulfill those desires? Do they have lines they wouldn't cross?

Dimitri's goals at this point in his life are - or were - relatively simple. He wanted to be a good king, to protect his people, to make their lives easier, and help them into a place of prosperity. To protect them from the ravages of war and help them recover. All of that is gone now, annihilated by the apparent destruction of his world and everything in it. There are certain things he won't do to accomplish his goals, of course - he tries to keep himself restrained, to avoid killing unnecessarily, or to stoop to low and underhanded tactics.

However, if his psychological health degrades enough he may find himself slipping back into the mindset of the Tempest King - someone entirely consumed wiht a lust for vengeance and destruction of those who have harmed him and the people he loves, obsessed with revenge, and willing to kill anyone or anything who stands in his way. He does not want to return to that time of his life, of course - but he may not end up with a choice.

What is something they treasure?

Friendship. Peace. Rest. Honest labor. But these are things he may not have the luxury of having here. At least not if he wants to get his home back. But mostly he values people over objects and he has lost many of the people he once called friends with the shattering of his world.

This probably isn't good for him, honestly.

What do they consider to be their best or most positive qualities?

Dimitri is hesitant to talk himself up at any point, but he values his own strength, if only because it will allow him to protect those he cares about. Otherwise, there's not a lot about himself he actually likes that much. But he keeps those feelings pretty buried, for the most part.

What is this character's best memory?

He remembers when he was a little boy a strange, brown-haired girl came to visit for a period of time. He spent quite a lot of time with her and became fast friends. At the time his father was still living; his stepmother was alive. The world seemed bright for a gentle young boy. He remembers this time with fondness - perhaps the last time in his life he felt truly happy.

Is there anyone they have highly positive feelings towards?

There are several people in his life who he remembers or thinks on fondly. The Professor, Ingrid, Sylvain, Felix, Dedue... all of his classmates in general. Dedue again, because Dedue was his right hand man and his closest friend after Duscur and someone who he saved and managed to protect.

He has complicated feelings about Edelgard, but it leans toward fondness now.

THE BAD

What could or would tempt your character to compromise their principles?

At this point, the prospect of getting his world back and all of its people.

What do they desire above all else?

Peace, at this point. Prosperity for his people. A chance to rest.

What are their biggest fear and/or insecurities?

Dimitri's biggest fear probably revolves around whether or not he actually can protect people and whether he has already failed at that task that he set himself. He also fears, to some extent, falling back into that murderous mindset that led him down a very dark path.

What is this character's worst memory?

The Tragedy of Duscur; the worst night of his life, where friends, his father, and others were slaughtered in a brutal attempt on the life of the royal family. One orchestrated by people hiding in the shadows. He survived - barely - and it still stretches a long shadow over his life.

Is there anyone they have highly negative feelings towards?

At this point, there's no one he has very strong negative impressions toward. At least, no one who's still alive.

THE MATERIAL

What kinds of gifts does your character like?

Practical gifts that can be used in day-to-day life; tools, clothing, training aides. He also appreciates finely-crafted weapons and other objects that can be used or displayed.

What item(s) would your character be pleased to receive as a reward?

A lance or other weapon; armor. A horse. Practical clothing and other useful items.

What item(s) would your character never ask for, but you, the player, would want to give them?

Therapy tbh.

OOC, what are your goals with this character? What would you enjoy seeing them getting involved in or would enjoy as a potential character arc?

I would be interested in seeing him grow more into his leadership role, whether he really wants to or not. He needs to get into that responsibility and dig back into what it means to really be a leader. I want him to try and tug free of the darkness that weighs him down and become something more. To learn to live with his loss, to be that noble paragon he tries to live up to. Alternatively, if things go horribly, he can also spiral into a ball of vengeance and anger, dedicated to killing anyone who stands in the way of what he sees as the only way he has to save his people.

Currently, with the Alenroux situation:

He's going to be using his military unit and his own sense of right/wrong to be working in his particular corner of Alenroux. He's more interested in making sure the people there are safe rather than strictly exerting control... basically hearts/minds campaign. This isn't precisely something that can be threaded out, but it is an effort I'd like him to make, along with trying to get other Meridian commanders to work on not treating everyone with hostility and making sure the occupation is politically palatable for people (and, you know, actually something that's overall good; he cares about the reality and assisting others).
