SETTING SUBMISSIONS
SETTING SUBMISSIONS
Kenos is stronger and more diverse with your character in it, both the Meridian and the Zenith deeply appreciate your character's willing cooperation! There's nothing fishy sounding about this. Likewise, the game is greater with everyone's imagination, and that's the purpose of this page: for approval and tracking of player-made additions to the setting at large.
Thought up of a cute neighbor for your character, or a gossiping shopkeeper who can't stop talking smack about Shard Bearers? Need to channel your OOC thirst into a civilian who will ICly send anonymous letters of admiration to characters youwant to harass fancy? Or maybe your character built a dog park because they just love dogs so much, you don't understand, or by some great stroke of fortune, they came across the greatest [redacted] dealer by a hole-in-the-wall in Springstar that's eluded the watchful gaze of the Helios' Legionary? Sharing is caring, as the saying goes: if it sounds fun and it's not lore breaking, why not make it a part of Kenos? Detail the basic information for your lovingly crafted NPC or location here, and who knows, maybe another player would be interested in fleshing them out further and give them a bigger part in enriching more characters' stories on Kenos!
Player setting submission may be made for NPCs and locations for the time being, more options may become available in the future. Please keep things vague and easy to interact with, locations containing items of significance linked to a character's home world would not be acceptable unless it is the result to a token regain/AC reward (i.e. a field of flowers from a species that only exist in a certain canon). Upon approval, we'll leave a comment and let you know!

GUIDELINES
Should you wish to contribute to the setting or add some flavor to it one way or another, here are some basic guidelines to help you stretch your creative juices!- You are free to create townies, business owners, etc without approval.
- Named NPC’s require a check-in with loremasters but aren’t off-limits within reason if you’d like to handwave an interaction or use them to facilitate basic CR in some way.
- Locations outside of Heliopolis and Yima’s manor are free game for creation (keeping in theme with each city’s vibe). Springstar in particular is a good place to create spaces since it hosts a wide array of styles and purposes, so you can’t really “go wrong” throwing something in there! Highstorm is more "high brow," but you are more than welcome to create for either.
- The only hard limitations would be in regards to anything obviously game-breaking (ie: defying the power cap, subverting established lore, etc). If you're on the fence about your subject, feel free to ask first!
- If you want to submit an idea for a temporary world for Starlight Park in Springstar, go for it! Those can go to the Event & Player Plot post anytime.
- If you create a venue or NPC, it would be nice to toss them here for cross-reference or so other people can use them!

LOCATION
Function: Repurposed base, currently used as a sanctuary for foreign creatures and research laboratory.
Location: The Below
Details: WE ARE NOT CALLING IT ZOOWLOON HURRAH!!!!
After claiming Aetós's former outpost for themselves, the majority of Shard-bearers involved in Vander's rescue came to the conclusion that the animals within could not be recklessly slaughtered, nor immediately released into the environment of Kenos. A triumvirate head of elected(?) directors — John Gaius, Akua Sahelian and Bondrewd — agreed to take on the task of monitoring the outpost, researching the creatures within and assessing them for compatibility with Kenos's natural environment and continuing to examine the outpost and abandoned materials for further information regarding Aetós, their goals and their methodology.
The overarching theme of the Burning Garden is a slowburn plot of Good Intentions Gone wrong, where the overseers and all invested Shard-bearers present and future will come to utilize the creatures in further experimentation as the Blight becomes a larger, more impactful problem. Possible options for people to jump in on this from either side: a) people can help take this nefarious plot down; or b) continue to help with the experimentations, etc. for science.
While largely structured as a large maze, some player-generated locations include:
