Went to the Tree of Life upon the arrival of newcomers, and had an interesting encounter.
Ended up traveling to the Scorching Isles alongside the other Shard Bearers, in part due to that strange compulsion, but also in part due to a desire to keep an eye on people lik Gray and Eustace.
Had several encounters with other characters, including with Silco, who bargained with him to get him to pledge a portion of his Sand to Zenith, and Dextera, who rescued him from his doppelganger.
Ultimately ended up facing off against the Zenith-aligned Tyki who aggressively gunned for some of his Sand. The direct confrontation finally forced Gen to harmonize with the Meridian to escape.
Following the events at the Scorching Isles, he returned to Springstar and promptly crashed at the Seat of the Tribune.
Despite his new alignment with the Meridian, Gen will continue working for Turek in Kowloon without any mention of this development; he also still regularly crashes at his shitty apartment in Kowloon, depending on how late in the evening his work for Turek ends. Now that he's learned how tough it is hoofing it alone and without a backup option, he'll continue his non-Meridian-aligned work for a while (mostly his work for Turek, as it pays better, though he'll still take some gigs with his courier jobs during quiet weeks for the extra cash) to stockpile emergency cash and resources, even as he takes advantage of the perks his new Meridian status grants him.
Did Your Character Check In? Yes! Now that he's finally part of a faction, he would have somewhat awkwardly and wearily checked in with Cetina after returning from the Scorching Isles, mostly just to confirm logistics (whether he's really a Meridian now, confirming that he now has a non-Kowloon place to stay, seeing what perks that earns him, etc.) before unceremoniously skulking off to his room to crash.
