Sebastian arrives on the Neheda, meeting some faces that are quite unfamiliar, but some that are very familiar. With the murder that also comes with the arrival of the newbies, Sebastian is assigned by Aeryn to be partnered with Alex Mercer, and from there, recieves further orders from Garrus Vakarian that he has been temporarily assigned to the Hulldown unit, which he contacts Kotetsu Kaburagi about. Sebastian and Ciel discuss the issue of the IC files, but the general plan of action is for them to listen and work quietly. As such, Sebastian helps with some of the crate investigation, meets his roomates, and volunteers his time in between patrols to help make sandwiches for the people on the Observation Deck.

When another body is found, Sebastian provides some ideas to Ciel about what it may be, but clearly isn't too concerned, since he happily attends the cinnamon-scented celebration. As sickness spreads, Sebastian doesn't grow very ill himself, being new to the ship and very much resistant to disease, so Ciel orders him to find Ferdinand, which Sebastian does with little complaint. Yet as the network goes up again, Sebastian takes this as a grand opportunity to irritate Ciel and sends off more than a few intentional misfires.
