He participated in the Meri gossip post, mostly to speak up against going around and shattering Zenites. Murder is fine! Shattering bad!
He spent most of the Oracle exploring worlds and searching for Shards.
In Rin's world, Akechi betrays him and steals the World Shard from him and no one could've seen that coming.
He retrieved Knowhere's world Shard with Nebula.
Akechi and Rin apparently traded worlds, since in Akechi's world Rin brands him in order to carry out her quest.
Ryouma kept his own Shard after he got it.
