After thinking on it, Yuri roots his driving motivation and sense of purpose in others (his mother, Abyssians, the poor in Faerghus) to the degree that he has a need to believe they're not gone, even though he has no proof (and rationally, he has to admit this). To accept that they are truly lost would definitely take something significant happening, and mean a drastic turn for him.
It could happen, events being unpredictable as they are, and it was interesting to think over. For now, he'll go unaligned while he thinks about the best way to approach his situation. Would it be permissible to play him as having tried and failed in his idea to join Zenith? I feel it's potential food for thought for him, if it's okay.
