Character Name: D Faction: Meridian Did your character keep their Sunbeam bead? Yes. He's shown it off a few times even. New Tier: Tier 2 Justification: While wary about not falling into one faction too deep, D's convictions are aligned enough with Meridian's ultimate goal that he's pretty content Harmonization with them is the better option, especially having been here for nearly four months.
Set's little temple find in August (OOCly) sort of pinged his interest in regards to whether it is possible to restore old worlds; he wants to know why some can find pieces of their worlds here basically. He's also been curious in his conversations with Eustace and Dark about people vanishing and once more reappearing. This, by far, makes him lean more into the idea there could be a way for restoration even though he understands some form of stasis may just be in play.
Likewise, the appearance of personal items for himself and others in events (and rewards given by NPCs) offer him the same world? world? WORLD? voice of curiosity as well as the comfort Meridian-aligned NPCs are capable of what they claim. Sorta. He isn't off the deep-end completely. His more recent talk with Aetos also touched on seeing the newly present apparitions from home (and being able to TOUCH them?), and he's wondering if Meridian power can hone the time stream to restore worlds. Something about this seems hm.
He gets along with many Meridians (Liem, Dokja, Dimitri, Eustace, Hayame, Link, Byleth) and finds their company more desirable than most aligned with Zenith. His introverted interactions really keep his ass grounded in Meridian, very stupid. During the Aug Oracle event, he went out of his way to find Effigy items to get the Oracle for Meridian, and never had any doubt of doing it for Zenith.
For most people asking about factions, D doesn't try to persuade them to join Meridian so much as he simply gives out his own reason, finding it the most sane path to take. When he runs into those already harmonized with Meridian, he typically has good immediate rapport. For example, his more recent meeting with Fane where they discuss the natural logic of wanting worlds returned. He had similar convos with Byleth and Link. During the recent Oracle event, he even tried to get Atsumu to talk about school and friends because he thinks it's weirdo behavior for a teenager with a normal life to be aligned with Zenith.
